  1. Recently got some..everyone knows anything about them..Search functions but shows up the Hydra-Shocks!!
  2. I've put about 100rds threw my Colt 1991A1 to brand sure my Gunsmith throated the barrel properly.

I have no idea why they are nonetheless on the market place.

  3. Greeting's!

I don't quite understand your postal service. Are you asking, if
any body uses Federal Hydra-Shok's? If so, YES I do!,
and have been for twelvemonth'due south. In these caliber'due south: .38 SPL.,
    9m/m Luger, and .45 ACP.

    Best Wishes,
    Ala Dan, North.R.A. Life Member

  4. yeah i deport the hi-shok in .380...
    works every time...
and you tin can buy information technology in a box of l...

FWIW hi-shok isn't the aforementioned equally the hydra-shok, hullo-shok is only a standard JHP....

  5. Seems some people prefer the Hi-Shoks over the Hydrashock ammo. Personally I acquit FMJ NATO 9mm, only I like the Winchester Ranger bullet alot. The Corbon PowerBall looks interesting so far...
  6. That's the only provender for my .357 magnum. 125gr JHP Hi-Shoks are the cat'southward meow.
  7. For those that don't know, Hi-Shoks are not the same as Hydra-Shoks. Hi-Shoks are usually sold under the Federal "Classic" line and are an older hollowpoint design.
  8. Yep, they're my daily comport ammo.
  9. Like my friend Ala Dan, I am not sure (no offense intended) that I understand your question. If yous are request, practise I use HydraShok, my respond is certainly, and I accept been for many years, in 9x19, .38 Special, .45 ACP, and .357 magnum. After all, for MANY years HydraShok was substantially "standard of comparison" among top-rated JHPs.
  10. They tin can be very adept. The 9mm 9BP is a legend in accuracy, feeding, and consistant expansion. And, the .357 125grn. SJHP is what Marshall and others raved about for years equally being the best stopper out there. Both fall nether the How-do-you-do-Daze lable.
  11. Ive used How-do-you-do-Shocks for years in my .357

RWK, equally has been explained in 3 posts before yours. Hi-Shocks and Hydra-Shocks are NOT the same thing. Y'all tin find the Hi-Shocks in the plastic "federal classic" boxes of 25.

  12. Guys, some clarifications please:

    SodaPop,

Yous said that you accept no idea why Hi-Shoks were still on the marketplace..why do you lot say that????

    Yestersdaysyouth,

You stated that the How-do-you-do-Shoks were a standard JHP..is information technology forth the lines of the silvertips or the winchester white box jhp???

  13. C_Yeager . . .

I suspect nosotros are all very enlightened that HiShok and HydraShok are two entirely different designs and rounds, the old predating the latter by a considerable number of years.

    Regards.

  14. I utilize Hello-Shoks--.38 special+P 125 gr. JHP in a Charter Arms Undercover and 9mm 115 gr. JHP in a Ruger P95. The .380 ACP 90 gr. JHP and the .357 magnum 125 gr. JHP are fantabulous also.
  15. I accept some Fed. 125gr 357magnum Hi-Shoks left. Haven't seen any around for a while though. In the 9mm and 357 loading they are some pretty good stuff.
  16. The Hullo Shok 9BPLE is some of the near accurate 9mm I've shot..

I'yard waiting for the Brown truck to deliver 5 more boxes:D

  17. Because its merely a basic JHP. I'm only being cranky.....:)

They sell them at a local indoor range near me. I just used them to test feeding of HP rounds in my Colt 1991A1. They are considerable cheaper than Hydra-Spanks.

Does everyone sympathize that Hi-shoks aren't the same as Hydra-shoks still?

  18. I love the federal Hi-Shock line. Unfortunatly, all I see anymore is those stupid xx round boxes for the 9BP 115 GR HP. At $nine.00+ a box!! Gave up on them and went to the Winchester Personal Defence force 115 GR HP. Constitute it at nearly $8.00 for a box of l. Every bit far every bit the Fed. 125 GR .357, I can't find it in Texas at all anymore. Its THE best circular I've ever fired in my .357's. Did they quit making it? Do they load in batches and we are between batches correct now?
  19. I would accept no problem shootin Hullo-Shocks out of any cocky defense gun of mine. I've shot quite a few of them in .41 magnum and I'k quite confident in their quality and ability to blow the crap out of an assailant at close or medium range.

Personally, I remember the Hydrashock are overpriced and I read of the instance in which a sure Loftier Roader was involved in a VERY Shut self defense shooting outside of a gun social club and his .45 caliber 230gr. Hydroshock did not expand, then he switched to Remington Gilt Sabers.

However I like the Golder Saber. I've PERSONALLY had no issues with them in .357 and 9mm, but I sympathise they have the weakest primer out there and that kind of makes me leary in conveying them for cocky self, merely still I carry them most of the fourth dimension in my CCW piece.

  20. Sgt, we still get the 125gr .357 load up here in seattle. Of course they are the aforementioned nine$ plastic boxes. I too Dearest them out of my sp101.
  21. I have the110-gr .38 Hydra Shoks in my defence pistol. FWIW, the only knock I've heard on Hydra Shoks was that in snubbies, they don't get sufficient velocity to aggrandize fully. I suspect that's true of a lot of "defence" loads.
  22. Right now I accept a bunch of 9BPLE in my Browning BDM...
  23. My Hydra-Shok inventory:

    .38 special +P
    9MM
    .40 S&W
    .357 Magnum
    .45 ACP

I put i through a wall of my house last twelvemonth. Actually through a mirror and two panels of drywall. Expanded nicely from .40 to .605. I was dissapointed in the complete jacket separation though. I guess that is pretty normal.

  24. I deport them in my Makarov. They work keen!! Why do you enquire??? I used to behave the 9mm version, only the Winchester WBHP is cheaper at Wally world!! :D
